2020 Rankings: The Second Half
The class of 2020 is another very strong class in the state of North Carolina. From top to bottom this is a class that will have multiple players at the next level. Here is a look at some of the players in the second half of the rankings that are more ready to play at the Division II and III level.
#63 Hooper Thomas (Rosman HS)-Thomas is the younger brother of senior Deland Thomas at Rosman. The younger Thomas is a skilled guard that can also fill up the scoring sheet. He is averaging 18 points per game for the small WNC school this season.
#91 Tyrece Thompson (Asheville HS)-Thompson is one of the more athletic players in the area and can play above the rim for a good majority of the game. He is around 6’2 and can really get up off the floor. He is a physical guard that can use his strength to get by defenders and score. He is a good rebounder and can defend.
#121 Chance Minott (Kinston HS)-The 5’10 point guard plays under control, he can handle the ball and has the ability to make shots from the three-point line in, he is a good defender and can get up and down the floor in a hurry.
#93 Jacari Outlaw (Greenfield School)-Outlaw is averaging 9 points per game for Greenfield School who also feature two of the best guards in the state with Coby White and Elijah McCadden. Outlaw is athletic and a scorer. He can shoot the ball consistently from deep and can attack the paint off the dribble with his quick first step. He is a defensive stopper and plays both sides of the basketball.
