Thursday Night Games to Watch (SD)
There are a few games out around the state tonight that will be worthy to check out. If the weather allows these games to happen, I’d suggest taking a look at catching one of these contests.
Top Game:
B #3 Clark/Willow Lake @ Aberdeen Roncalli
A big game for both teams as the winner will acquire some quality power points. This matchup however is a more important game for Aberdeen Roncalli who has lost three in a row and find themselves in a big time battle in there region to acquire power points for seeding. Roncalli will need a great night from Gus Reede as well as junior Brady Morgan. Clark/Willow Lake has won some big games against some top ten class A opponents this year and this will be just as large of a task. Guards Bradyn Rusher and Jacob Prouty will lead the Cyclones as they look to continue to position themselves for a state playoff run.
Other games to to watch:
A #1 Sioux Falls Christian @ (IA) 2A #3 Western Christian
This one will be good! SF Christian boasts the only undefeated record in the entire state of South Dakota. Meanwhile, Western Christian is ranked #3 in class 2A in Iowa and currently has an 19-1 record with their only loss to SD class A #2 Madison last Saturday. Lincoln Unruh has been really good as of late for the SF Christian Chargers but they will need to continue to have scoring balance and good guard play against Western Christian’s size. The Wolfpack is led by 6’8 Jacob Vis who is averaging 19pts and 8.5 rebs per game. This could honestly go either way, but I do think SFC stays unbeaten…at least in the state of South Dakota 😉
Stanley County @ B #4 White River
Stanley County is right int he mix in Class A Region 6 and a win on the road vs a Top Ten Class B team would be huge. White River will look to protect their home floor behind senior Donnie Yackley, junior Jadice Morrison and sophomore Nick Sayler. White River will look to push tempo and get their guards scoring at a high rate early. Stanley County needs to control tempo and have a great effort on the glass to control the amount of possessions in this one.
