Update on Unsigned Seniors
The 2018 class is almost set to graduate in a couple of months and their high school basketball careers are also close to being done and their eyes are set on a college. Here is a look at the unsigned seniors in North Carolina and a recruiting update.
6’5 wing Stephen Edoka (Concord First Assembly-Head Coach Frank Cantadore told PrepHoopNC’s Justin Byerly that VMI and Liberty are the two schools that are recruiting Edoka the hardest at this point. He has an offer from Winthrop University and will look to wait it out on his college decision. What colleges are getting is a skilled, athletic wing that can shoot it from the outside and can get into the lane and finish at the rim.
6’1, guard Justice Goodloe (Winston-Salem Prep)-Head Coach Andre Gould reached out to PrepHoopNC’s Justin Byerly to let him know that James Madison University will be in on Tuesday night to see the senior guard. He has offers according to Verbal Commits from Georgia Southern University and Gardner-Webb University. Goodloe is a tough guard that hails from one of the best programs in the state, Winston-Salem Prep. Coach Gould and staff do a great job with producing quality guards for the next level.
6’4 guard Isaac Suffren (Providence Day School)-The high-flying Suffren had a great Chick-Fil-A Classic and in my opinion boosted his stock tremendously. He recently took an official visit to Drexel University and has had Brown University Head Coach Mike Martin in to see him recently. Cornell Head Coach Brian Earl has been in touch and Drexel came up this week just to visit.
6’9 forward Ody Oguama (Cardinal Gibbons)-The big man will wait until the spring to make a decision his AAU coach tells me. He should be one of the most sought after big men in the region when college staffs re-evaluate what they are needing on their roster.
