Jamarius BurtonIndependence (19-1, 10-0) at Butler (17-3, 7-3), Tues, 7:30: This is going to be one of the biggest games of the season regarding conference standings and seeing if Butler can gain a little ground on the undefeated Patriots with only four games remaining this season before the conference tournament begins. 2019 combo guard An’dra (AJ) McKee has picked up an offer from UMass recently, and unsigned senior Jamarius Burton has picked up offers from UMass, Towson and Hofstra as of late after his strong play. Butler has had big outings from Queens’ University guard recruit DJ Little and New Orleans recruit Gerrale Gates. Junior Raquan Brown has been another bright spot for Myron Lowery’s program this season.
Providence Day (20-9, 5-1 CISAA) at Charlotte Christian (19-6, 6-0), Tues, 7:30: The three-headed monster of Kansas recruit Devon Dotson, Santa Clara recruit Trey Wertz and athletic guard Isaac Suffren will look to grab a piece of the conference pie from 2019 guard JC Tharrington and Liberty recruit Blake Preston. Brown University Head Coach Mike Martin is scheduled to see Suffren tonight in the match-up, he recently had an official visit to Drexel University.
Hough (11-8, 5-4 I-MECK) at North Mecklenburg (19-1, 10-0), Tues, 7:30: Two of the top 2019 players in North Carolina also play for the same Duane Lewis‘ coached team at North Mecklenburg High School, Jae’Lyn Withers and Tristan Maxwell. Both are having very strong seasons and are guiding North Meck to where they need to be for the approaching playoffs. North Meck has also been helped in the scoring column from 2020 guard Ford Cooper. Undefeated in the conference, North will have a tough team visiting on Tuesday in Hough High School and Beau Maye, the brother of North Carolina forward Luke Maye. Hough is 5-4 in the conference and will be looking to give north Meck it’s first loss in conference play this season tonight.
