Hemingway (13-5)
Darius Taylor, Tyrike Lewis and Darius “JuJu’ Williams are trying to get the Tigers back to the Colonial Life Center again in March. The Tigers have lost (2) games to Carvers Bay #2 in 2-A, Marion #8 in 2-A , South Florence – 5-A and Trinity Byrnes SCISA 2-A. Those 3 losses took place at the Pepsi Carolina Classic.
Great Falls (14-3)
The Red Devils Tommy Belk has taken 51 charges this season. Kelton Talford (2020) leads the way with 19.4 ppg and 11.1 rebounds.
Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood) (14-4)
Head Coach Jay Godbolt took over the reins this season after winning SCISA Class-A Championships at nearby Charleston Collegiate. Donnell Bowens (2019) is the leader of Lowcountry Leadership.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (12-9)
The Trojans currently lead the region race with a 9-1 record over Williston-Elko 8-2 and Ridge Spring-Monetta 8-2. Marlow Gilmore (2019) is averaging 19 ppg for the Trojans. The Trojans lost 6 games over the holidays between the Savannah River Shootout and Sweet 16 in Orangeburg.
Williston-Elko (13-4)
Desmond Murray (2019) has had a great season for the Blue Devils. Murray has really expanded his game to the perimeter. The Blue Devils stay behind one game in the region standings.
High Point Academy (10-7)
Jayden Byrd (2020) leads the 2nd year program from Spartanburg with 17.7 ppg. The Grizzlies recently defeated McCormick 39-36 to take over 1st place in Region 1-A.
McCormick (11-6)
Mataeo Durant (Duke Football signee) is the leader on the team.
Lewisville (10-8)
The Lions will battle it out with Great Falls and McBee for the region top spot. The Lions finished runner-up last season to Hemingway.
Ridge Spring-Monetta (12-4)
The Trojans play in the same region with Hunter-Kinard-Tyler and Williston-Elko. The Trojans have recently lost to both teams with most recently a setback of 73-64 to Williston-Elko. Tyson Bettis, Jerry Tyler and Melvin Alewine will provide leadership for the Trojans.
McBee (13-6)
The Panthers dropped down from #3 ranked last week. The Panthers lost to region foe Lewisville 61-41. Shane Hammonds (2018) leads the way at 16.4 ppg and Tyrece Wright 13.3 ppg.
