Freedom vs New Life Recap
This game was a tale of two halfs, in the first half both teams struggled to get their offense going and we saw a bit of sloppy play. Once the 3rd quarter began Freedom took over the game and never looked back as they took home the blowout win 92-63 over New Life Christian.
Freedom Christian Junior Guard Jamahri Harvey: Led all scorers with 15 points on the night which included a two handed alley oop dunk in the second half. He has good height and length for a guard, with the ability to knock down the deep ball.
Freedom Christian Senior Forward Milos Stajcic: Had it going in the 1st quarter scoring 8 out of his 12 points , he did a good job of using his height advantage to score the ball inside. He has already picked up interest and offers from Low Major and Mid Major programs.
New Life Christian Junior Forward Latrell Jones: One of the bright spots for the Monarchs, he shot a high percentage throughout the game and knows how to get inside of the paint. He has a very strong upper body but also a soft touch around the basket and finishes very well through contact.
New Life Christian Senior Wing Arshon King: His shot selection may not always be the greatest but he does have deep range that he uses to help space out the offense. He finished with 12 points on the day and knocked down two trey balls in the 1st half.
Freedom Christian Junior Guard Tre Bell: Normally he doesn’t see a high amount of minuets but he made the best of the time he got in this game by scoring and rebounding at a nice rate. He finished with 10 points and a decent amount of rebounds, this performance should convince the coaches to definitely give him some more opportunities.
Freedom Christian Sophomore Guard Jamel Carter: Mel did a very good job of running the show, he set up his teammates well and makes some difficult passes look easy. He also knocked down the trey ball , while bringing maximum effort on the defensive end, finished with 9 points.
New Life Christian Sophomore Guard Dahaun Jones: Its hard to find a player that is faster from end to end on the court than this young man, he uses his speed not only to make plays offensively but also to force the defense into turnovers.
Freedom Christian Sophomore Forward Aymonic Touisant: He is still getting fully comfortable with the American style of play but he showed some flashes of how good he can be. He’s 6’6 with long arms and a nice wingspan , so he is one to keep a close eye on without a doubt.
