Class of 2019 Post Stock Risers
What big men in the class of 2019 helped their stock the most in the latest update of the junior rankings? Check out the posts that made the biggest leaps!
PF Chris Payton (Bloomington)
Previous Ranking: #6
Current Ranking: #4
Numbers wise it is only two spots in the rankings, but considering the players that Payton had to jump over to get there he had to put in an impressive first half of the season. The athletic and strong four man has played at an extremely high level with his scoring in the paint, rebounding, and protecting the rim. He has been one of the most impressive players we have evaluated this year and has done it in each game we saw.
PF Keenon Cole (Steamwood)
Previous Ranking: #33
Current Ranking: #23
Cole is an uber bouncy four man that we have always been fans of, but he has taken his production to new heights this season. The junior forward steps his game up against the better competition they play. He is a quick jump rebounder that can also be a shot blocker on the defensive end. His skill level continues to improve. Could be a breakout player this spring with the Illinois Wolves.
PF Rashaun Agee (Bogan)
Previous Ranking: #58
Current Ranking: #33
Agee is one of the more intriguing posts in the class. Right now he is more of a rebounder and defender. Impresses on that end of the floor with his broad shouldered frame and athleticism. Rebounds well in traffic and is a tough post defender. Offensively he shows flashes of the potential he could have on that end.
PF Karl Wright (Springfield Lanphier)
Previous Ranking: #76
Current Ranking: #47
Wright might not have the ceiling that the guys above him do, but he is establishing himself as a quality D2 recruit. He is undersized at only 6’5” so he has to play bigger with his athleticism. Wright is one of the better athletes in the 2019 class with springy legs and plays above the rim for alley-oop slams and blocking shots. Skill set is still the question that has to be answered over the next 12 months.
