The Talent: Broken Arrow vs Sand Springs
In a Top-10 Match-up in Class 6A, Sand Springs took on top-ranked Broken Arrow. The Sandites started the game strong jumping out to a nine point lead after one quarter of play. The number one ranked Tigers did not let this phase them. They had one of the best quarters of any team this season. They held the Sandites to two points in the second quarter and outscored them by 16 points. The Tigers kept strolling after this cruised to victory after holding off a few runs by the Sandites in the second half. The Tigers won 62-53.

Josh Robinson 2018 Broken Arrow Guard
Robinson was electrifying for the Tigers on the night. He showed off his athleticism getting to the rim and scoring through contact. Robinson is one the most athletic guards in the 2018 Class. He spreads the defense and attacks the rim with vigor. Robinson finished with 17 points. He will be vital for Broken Arrow moving into the later end of the season.
Colt Savage 2018 Sand Springs Guard
Colt Savage proved why he is going to UCO next year. Savage hit tough shots over Tiger defenders. He used his length on the defensive end to affect shots from Broken Arrow. Savage led the Sandites in scoring with 16 points. Savage and the Sandites are legitimate contenders in Class 6A and if they put together a full game they will be hard to beat.
Cale Savage 2019 Sand Springs Guard
Cale Savage was the best shooter on the court. He was consistent throughout the night and knocked down the open 3-pointers. Savage hit four 3-pointers on the night. He tried to keep the Sandites in the game in the fourth quarter when he scored 9 of his 12 points and kept the Sandites within striking distance of the Tigers.
Camryn Dennis 2019 Broken Arrow Guard
Dennis was huge for the Tigers against Broken Arrow. He got Broken Arrow to break fast and spread the ball between his teammates. He had big scoring output in the second half against Sand Springs. He scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the second half of the game. He led Broken Arrow when the Sandites would not go away quietly.
Braden Boyer 2018 Broken Arrow Post
Boyer used his height to his advantage against Sand Springs. He used some consistent post moves and powered through contact to finish in the paint. On the defensive end he dominated and came away with some huge blocks. He forced the Sandites to shoot from the perimeter and affected shots that were within the paint. Boyer also distributed the ball well from the post. He finished with 14 points on the night. Boyer is committed to Arkansas-Fort Smith.

Broken Arrow took advantage of the free-throw line tonight. The charity stripe was the difference in the game. It propelled the Tigers to victory as they went 11-12 on the night. In the fourth quarter when the Sandites were fouling to try to keep their hopes of winning alive, Broken Arrow went 8-8 from the line.
