Palmetto State : 2018 Unsigned Point Guards
The Palmetto State 2018 class is deep in talent and there is still plenty of college level talent still available in the state. Prep Hoops recently UPDATED the 2018 State Rankings and here is a look at some point guards to fill your needs next season.
Grant Singleton – Lakewood HS (Sumter)
Singleton has received a scholarship offer from St Thomas Aquinas (NY) (NCAA D2), Claflin (SC) (NCAA D2) and Coker College (SC) (NCAA D2) according to Gators Assistant Coach Matt Howlett. Morehead State (KY) recently reached out to the staff about Singleton.
Singleton has currently scored 1,108 career points. Singleton is averaging 17.3 ppg this season for the Gators. Singleton is the reigning Region Player of the Year from last season.
Chandler Lindsey – Spartanburg Day
Lindsey #26 recently returned to the Griffins lineup after being out. Lindsey a ultra athletic guard benefits playing with Mr. Zion Williamson on the roster. Lindsey a left-handed guard can play above the rim at times.
Jermaine Patterson – Bluffton HS
Patterson #28 eclipsed 1,000 point plateau earlier in the season. Patterson scored 36 points vs Myrtle Beach HS in a tourney game at the Panther Classic at Carolina Forest HS. Patterson was nominated to play in the Shrine Bowl but declined to play it and focused on basketball. Patterson really likes to play up tempo and can really attack the basketball well.
Tuzion Brock – Southside HS (Greenville)
Brock is a winner and just does what he needs to do to win games. Brock the ultimate team player sacrifices his game for the team. The Tigers currently ranked #1 in the 3-A State are looking to repeat as champions this coming March. Brock #39 tells Prep Hoops he is solid academically in the classroom
Ephraim Butler – Berkeley HS (Moncks Corner)
Butler is averaging 22.3 ppg, 3.9 assists and 3.2 steals this season for the Stags. Butler currently has 738 career points according to Stags Head Coach Joe Wallace. Newberry (SC), Lenoir-Rhyne (NC),Wofford and East Tennessee Staate have contacted Butler this season according to Wallace.
Robert Swanson – Myrtle Beach HS
Swanson 5’10 checks in at #49 in the 2018 Palmetto State Class. Swanson currently stands at 1,088 career points. Swanson is the first player under Seahawks Head Coach Craig Martin to eclipse the 1,000 point mark and the first since NBA Player Ramen Sessions.
Terance Mack – Trinity Byrnes (Darlington) (Pictured on front)
Mack has made a major impact for the Titans since his arrival at Trinity Byrnes. Mack a football-basketball player is a left-handed guard that also excels in the back field for the Titans State Championship Football Team. Mack transferred in last fall from Hartsville HS. Mack #56 is averaging 11.2 ppg for the 14-2 Titans.
