Prospect Spotlight: Pavle Pantovic (2019)
DePaul Prep junior post Pavle Pantovic stands at 6’6” and plays with great strength and physicality on the block. His skill level really shows through as well. Scores with right and left handed hook shots. Mixes in a couple baseline spins. Solid area rebounder. D2 prospect that should also be considered by low-major schools in the right system.
He spoke with PrepHoopsIllinois about DePaul Prep’s season.
“The season is going really well. I think we are playing well. If someone plays bad we pick them up. Everyone on this team gives a team effort.”
How is he playing from a personal standpoint?
“I think it is going well. I think there is some stuff that I could do better. I could get more rebounds and finish around the hoop better. Overall I think it is going well.”
He continues to look to add to his offensive game.
“I have been working on my offensive game. Defensively I think I am a pretty good defender. I have been working on my offense a lot. I have been working on my post moves a lot with coach and other people.”
This past summer he ran with the Illinois Wolves 16U.
“I think the Wolves helped me a lot. The Wolves is a top class program in the state. We play the best competition in the country in the UAA so playing against the elite players in the class has helped me a lot coming back to my high school team. I know if I can play at the level I was playing at there I will be fine.”
