Kentucky Stat Leaders Report: Top 3-Point Shooters
The Kentucky high School basketball season has officially reached it’s mid-season point, and with a minimum of eight games played required to be considered, the KHSAA has it’s 3-point shooting leaders (made 3’s per game) through the end of 2017. PHKY reviews the top 10:
3-Point Shooting Leaders (Per Game)
Noah Back (2019, Perry County Central) – 4.1
Perry County Central’s starting combo guard and leading scorer, Back is not only a top 3-point shooter (per game) in the state, but is shooting right at 50% from long range.
Gage Hughes (2018, Greenup County) – 4.1
Hughes can score in bunches, which is why he is averaging 31.2 points per game to go along with his 4.1 made 3’s a contest. He is shooting nearly 40% from deep.
Jackson Cole (2019, Spencer County) – 4.0
Spencer County’s junior guard is their 2nd leading scorer, shooting 50% from 3-point range.
Deven Stone (2018, Wolfe County) – 3.9
Wolfe County’s star guard is averaging 26.4 points per game while shooting 40% from deep. NAIA and D3 schools should start looking at Deven Stone.
Detorrion Ware (2018, Christian County) – 3.7
Ware has put himself in a position to be a top player in Kentucky’s 2018 class. He’s helped lead Christian County to a 9-3 start and the Colonels are sure to contend for a regional title. He’s averaging 33 points per game and shooting 41.8% from the arc.
Isiah Roblee (Belfry) – 3.6
The Belfry senior guard is the team’s leading scorer, averaging 22 points per game. He’s shooting 43% from 3-point range.
Kyle Fraley (2019, Breathitt County) – 3.4
A junior, Fraley leads Breathitt in scoring, averaging right at 20 points per game while shooting 41% from the 3.
Devin Young (2018, South Oldham) – 3.4
Young is getting a number of looks from different small college programs, and as he should. Young is averaging 22.4 points per game while shooting 42.7% from deep. South Oldham is 9-5 through the new year.
MeKell Burries (2018, Newport) – 3.2
The Pikeville commit continues to impress, and continues to get better at the game of basketball. Burries started playing the game at a later age the most. Burries is averaging 23.2 points per game.
Zion Harmon (2021, Adair County) – 3.2
The freshman phenom is one of the best in the country. He is averaging just over 32 points per game and shooting 36% from 3-point range.
