Games of The Week! Dec 11-16
Greensboro Day vs The Cannon School: Although the Greensboro Day Bengals are the deeper squad, both teams have a nice amount of 2018 talent in their starting lineup that should make things interesting. The Cannon School features Senior Qon Murphy & Jarius Hamilton who are D1 players without a doubt, while Greensboro Day features Guard Will Dillard & John Newman who are talented and have committed to D1 programs.
Hoke County vs Scotland County: The matchup in this game to watch will be between the guards, Scotland County features Niem Ratliffe while Hoke County features Dakari Johnson. Both of these players have a gift for scoring the ball which should make this game fun to watch.
Westover vs Terry Sanford: Its always entertaining when these two teams match up, both have: a nice program history, talent and outstanding coaching. They are off to good starts so far and feature Unsigned Seniors that college programs should be tracking. Westover features Senior Forward Jalin Thorne while Terry Sanford has Forwards Gabe Harbison & Holt Walker, who both can score the ball well.
Wesleyan Christian vs High Point Christian: This a rivalry game and there has been plenty of fireworks that have taken place between these two teams over the years. Wesleyan is loaded this year with players like Aaron Wiggins and Jaylen Hoard while High Point Christian has been solid this year at 4-2.
Cox Mill vs Lincoln Charter: Both of these teams are undefeated at this point, which automatically adds intrigue to this matchup. Lincoln Charter has gotten 14PPG or more from the trio of Senior Kody Shubert, London England and Junior Jackson Gabriel. Cox Mill has its own trio of stars with Seniors Rechon Black & Caleb Stone-Carrawell to go along with Junior Wendell Moore Jr.
Clinton HS vs Northside-Jax: This is one of the top matchups in Eastern North Carolina this week, both of the teams have talent and met in the regional semi-finals last year. Northside features Senior PG Kenny Dye & Wing Gabe Kirkendoll followed by Forward Jason Mixon, which has led the Monarchs to an undefeated record so far. For Clinton, they are loaded with talent as Zion Autry and Xavier Howard have transferred in as well as the return of Guard Kris Williams, Dewan Lesane and big man Trevor Leggett.
