Yesterday’s Top Results:
It was a very light schedule on Monday but a few games were worth keeping an eye on. We recap a couple of the most notable games.
Blackford 70, Muncie Burris 47
Blackford keeps rolling. A year after going 1-22, Blackford is back into the win column after taking a loss at Alexandria on Saturday. Now 3-1, Blackford has a pretty easy conference game coming up on Friday before being off for two weeks.
Martinsville 67, Plainfield 64 2OT
In the last six years this conference matchup has not been decided by less than 15 points but this year was very different. After a loss to a lesser Tri-West team earlier this year, Plainfield was on a roll winning three in a row and hoping to make it four before a tough three game stretch. This is a good win for a Martinsville team who should go on a run of wins.
Yesterday’s Top Performers:
JD Hoover (Blackford) – 33 points
Luke Brown (Blackford) – 23 points
Today’s Top Games:
For a Tuesday, we will see a relatively light schedule but the entire state is covered in games. It’s a light night around the Indy area but there are quite a few solid matchups.
Evansville Memorial vs. Evansville Bosse
Bosse is 3-0 on the year and this is another good test for them. Memorial is also undefeated but haven’t really played anyone quite yet. Bosse has to have the upper hand in this one since it’s at home and they have been a little more tested up to this point.
Indianapolis Manual vs. Lawrence North
This is one of the better games in the Indianapolis area as Manual is playing much better than expected to begin the season. Lawrence North has been struggling a bit with a loss to Lawrence Central and a close one against Culver. This should be a good game that should be closer than expected.
Salem vs. Springs Valley
Springs Valley first true test of the season will come against Salem. Salem is 3-1 this year with their only loss coming to Brownstown Central who is 4-0. Springs Valley is 4-0 but only has one notable win this year. I expect to see a close game with Salem coming out on top.
