10 Best: Crestwood vs Lee Central
Prep Hoops took in a game in Bishopville, SC at Lee Central HS on Saturday evening. The Stallions hosted the Crestwood HS Knights. The Stallions started the game on a 13-0 run. The Knights finally scored with three minutes left in the first quarter. The second quarter was more the same as the first quarter as the Stallions finished the half with a 27-17 lead.
The Knights came out and outscored the Stallions the 19-9 to tie the game at 36-36 heading into the fourth quarter. The Knights finally took the lead at 40-38 with 5:15 left in the game. DaVeon Thomas hit two free throws with 2:59 left to give the Stallions a 42-40. The Stallions would prevail at home 53-47 in the non-region contest.

Thomas 6’0 shooting guard scored a team-high 14 points for the Stallions. Thomas was 5-9 from the free throw line. Thomas grabs several rebounds and had several steals.
Offensive Performance of the Game: Kwaleek Jones (2019) Crestwood HS (Dalzell)
Jones 6’3 small forward transferred in from Sumter HS. Jones scored a game-high 17 points for the Knights. Jones was all over the glass for the Knights. Jones would score inside and outside for the Knights.
Defensive Performance of the Game: Demarcus Smith (2018) Lee Central HS
Smith 6’2 guard that created several turnovers for the Stallions. Smith had five steals and five rebounds for the Stallions. Smith will take the charge .on the defensive side of the floor
Play of the Game: Thomas Free-Throws
Daveon Thomas free-throw with 2:59 left gave Lee Central the lead at 42-40. The lead the Stallions would never give up.
Best Guy off the Bench: Javarius Bradley (2018) Crestwood HS
Bradley 6’0 forward came off the bench and scored nine points for the Knights.
Best Guy Under the Radar: Deandre Oliver (2019) Lee Central HS
Oliver 6’2 guard that plays both football and basketball at Lee Central. Oliver play hard for the Stallions on both side of the ball. Plays with a high energy on the court. Oliver will meet the ball handler at the time line and guard him hard.
Best Underclassmen: DaVeon Thomas (2021) Lee Central HS
Thomas is ranked in the 2021 Prep Hoops SC rankings. Prep Hoops had a chance to see him play on the AAU circuit with the Central Carolina Force. Thomas will be a name to monitor in the years to come for the Stallions.
Best Project: Xzabiean Yates Crestwood (2019) Crestwood HS
Yates 6’2 forward that come off the bench. Yates plays hard and is very physical in the paint.
Best Small College Player: Daqueon Thomas (2018) Lee Central HS
Thomas 5’8 point guard is the srnior catalyst for the Stallions. Thomas plays at a nice easy pace and doesn’t look to force anything. Thomas played last year and started on the Region 4-2A championship team.

Sharp shooting guard Amadric Mixon only scored 2 points tonight for the Stallions.
CrestwoodHS has a new Head Coach Tony Wilson. Wilson was the girls coach at Crestwood HS last season. Nazir Andino was not in the game tonight for the Knights and Naquan Addison has been ruled eligible to play yet for the Knights. Addison played at Spring Valley HS last year.
