Halls Guard Goes for 56 Points
Tuesday night Jordan Corvette hit 10 three-pointers in a single game, on his way to 56 total points.
“Basically he shot really well from three,” said Halls Head Coach Jonathan Smith.
Corvette hit from opening quarter to the final horn. His consistency forced Gibbs High to adjust their defense at least three times.
“They started in zone and they switched to man-to-man and they switched to 1-2-2 and they switched to box-and-1,” said Coach Smith.
Halls High School (1-1) won 96-73.
By halftime Jordan Corvette scored 34 points. The senior only made five free throws.
“Mostly 3’s and layups,” said Coach Smith.
His previous high score was 30 points.
Coach Evaluation
According to Coach Smith, Jordan Corvette is “really good on the ball. Really good shooter. Super talented. Really high basketball IQ.”
Coach Smith sees Jordan as a D2 player. He might be able to play higher if he finds the right fit.
“He is a point guard with no offers,” said Coach Smith. “I played college basketball at Memphis and I have been sending to contacts, but I haven’t gotten any emails about him.”
Jordan Corvette is about 155-160 pounds at 6-foot-0.
