Recruiting Report: Chris Seymore (2018)
Despite the loss of several key players Bloomington Jefferson still has quality expectations because of returning players like Chris Seymore.
“We have four returning varsity players and one returning starter,” Seymore said. “We have good talent and are a fast team I think our team will be very successful this season.”
Mike Evens is the returning starter for the Jags while Seymore, Gavin Lyons, and Charlie Bedor are back from reserve roles a year ago. Seymore has solid goals for both himself and the team.
“An individual goal for this season is to get some offers to continue to play basketball in college and a team goal is to compete in the state tournament,” Seymore said.
Chris worked hard in the off-season to be a better scorer for his team to become more familiar with one another considering that so much production graduated.
“This off season I spent a lot off time in the gym not only by myself working on my individual game but also with my high school basketball to create more team chemistry,” Seymore stated.
“This off season I’ve tried to work on floaters and finishing at the rim and expanding my game by implementing a midrange jump shot.”
Seymore is not only a quality basketball player but has a lot of interest in from Track & Field programs.
“I’ve been contacted by the University of Minnesota Morris and the University of Augsburg both for Track And Field. I’ve also talked to a coaches from Keizer University and Lake Region State College but no official offers yet.”
