Top Returning Players: Independents and Others
To end our look at the top returning players in Cincinnati, we have four players on our list including two whose teams have no conference affiliation. All four of these guards are players who have the attention of programs at the next level, with one having Georgetown and Purdue among others who have been in to see his workouts. So here is our last in the Top Returning Players series, Independents and Others.
Dylan Beaugard 5’8 PG- Wilmington High School (Class of 2018)
Recently committed to Ashland University, Beaugard is one of the more underrated guards in the state. Defensively he has quick hands and feet which gives him the ability to pressure the ball and create turnovers for his team. On offense Dylan can knock down open shots, especially mid-range, which he combines with good handle and a high I.Q. Will be looked upon as leader for the Hurricane this season.
Kameron Gibson 6’4 G- Walnut Hills High School (#27 Class of 2018)
Do not be surprised if this talented guard averages at or over 20 points per game for the Eagles this season. Kameron can flat out score the ball, and can do it from all three levels. But what sets him apart is his ability to shoot off the catch and dribble. A name you will see on/with plenty of post-season teams and accolades, Gibson is getting attention from programs at the Division I and II levels.
Jalen Greiser 6’2 G- Loveland High School (Class of 2019)
This young man can flat out shoot the basketball. Finished last year with shooting percentages of 45% from the field, 43% from three and 90% from the line while averaging 9.5ppg. Showing improvement in being able to make plays off the dribble is the next step for Jalen.
Greg Tribble Jr. 6’1 G- Winton Woods High School (#14 Class of 2019)
Tribble is as athletic and explosive as they come at the guard position in the state. Despite his size he stays in attack mode and is not afraid to challenge the big guys in the paint. Greg can also knock shots from that 12-17ft. range as well, which a lot of times he sets up with his solid handle. As mentioned before Georgetown and Purdue are among the programs to show interest in Tribble, while several low-major D-I programs have already extended offers including Morehead State and Youngstown State.
