Prospect Spotlight: Brian Goracke (2020
Brian Goracke is a 6’3″ 175lbs guard/forward in the class of 2020 who can play all positions on the court. He has good size and is very athletic. Goracke started for his highschool varsity basketball team as a freshman at Monroe high school last year and lead the team in points and second in rebounds and assists. 18ppg, 5.8rpg, 3apg, and shot 52% from the field. Brian is a great shooter and can attack off the dribble. Goracke was awarded 2nd team all league. He was a major part in reviving Monroe’s basketball program, improving their previous record of 0-24 the year before to 12-13 as a freshman. “I’ve never seen a fourteen year old play above the rim like that.”- Robby Younger(Monroe assistant basketball coach). His coach said because very impressed by a dunk Goracke had during summer league Highschool ball.
This spring and summer Goracke played with Elite 24(EYBL). He played very well against some of the best competition at his age in the country. He is very competitive and is willing to do whatever it takes to win. Goracke is a very smart player who is extremely head strong under pressure. He has a great work ethic, loves to get better, and is very coachable. He excels in the classroom with a 3.71gpa. He plans to earn a Division 1 scholarship to a school that will help him reach his full potential on and off the court. With his length and athleticism he has a great future ahead of him and is full of potential.
