In this article:
Part 2 here of the loaded Holiday Hoopsgiving Preview. Take a look below.
Montverde, FL vs Trinity Episcopal, VA – Saturday Nov. 24th 6:45pm Gym 1
Before the Eagles of Montverde take on Westside Macon, GA on November 25th, their first test at the event will be against Trinity Episcopal out of Virginia. If you do not know yet, the Titans of Trinity feature one of the top recruits in the country in the class of 2019 in 6’9 F Armando Bacot. Bacot will have his hands full on the glass trying to rebound with the twin towers of Montverde in 2019 F Mahki Mitchell and 2019 F Mahkel Mitchell, who are literally twin brothers and both commited to play at Maryland. The Mitchell twins ran with DC Premiere out the DMV this past summer. 2018 5’11 PG Trevin Wade of Montverde makes his trip back home to Atlanta. Wade transferred this past summer after playing his junior year at South Cobb High School located in Austell, GA. Wade is an explosive point guard for a kid his size and can facilitate and create plays for his teammates.
Christ School, NC vs McEachern, GA – Friday Nov. 24th 8:30pm Gym 1
This matchup will headline Day 1 of the Holiday Hoopsgiving Event. Featuring one of the most athletic players in the country in all classes 6’4 PG Jalen Lecque of Christ School. Lecque will be hard to stop getting to the basket. We expect a great point guard matchup with him and 2020 PG Sharife Cooper of McEachern. This game features a few next level forwards as well. 2019 forwards Babatunde Akingbola and Jared Jones of McEachern will be going up against 2019 F Brandon Stone and 2020 C Justice Ajogbor of Christ School. I believe this game will come down to second chance points and rebounding with the big men we have in this one. Let us not forget about 2019 SG Isaac Okoro for the Indians of McEachern. Okoro will also get the crowd off it’s feet with his skills as well.
Trinity Christian, NC vs Meadowcreek, GA – Friday Nov. 24th 4:30pm Gym 2
Here is one of the interesting matchup we will be able to see this weekend. 2019 6’8 F and Duke commit Joey Baker will be making his debut with his squad from North Carolina. Joey is a highlight reel, he has the ability to get to the basket and finish with ease and plays with tremendous energy and hustle. 2019 WG Jamir Chaplin is another kid we need to keep an eye on in this one. He is a real athletic wing and can lockdown defensively. Meadowcreek is coming off a tough lost to Pebblebrook in the On the Radar Classic this past Saturday and will have to bounce back quickly as this will be another tough test as well.
