Who are the best uncommitted prospects remaining in the state of Illinois in the 2018 class after the early signing period? We break them down by position. Here are the wings!
Drew Peterson (Libertyville)
Wiry wing with excellent size. Plus perimeter shooter that is an underrated athlete in transition. Will be one of top scorers in the Chicago suburbs this year.
Level Projection: Mid-Major
Zion Young (Simeon)
Young is a well-built wing that has strength and athleticism. Big time finisher at the rim in transition and can stretch the defense with his perimeter jumper. First year at Simeon.
Level Projection: Mid-Major
Raekwon Drake (Orr)
Drake is a combo forward that could see minutes at both the three and four at the college level. Elite level athlete that rebounds, finishes, and has improving skill.
Level Projection: Low-Major
Cardell McGee (Springfield Lanphier)
McGee is a shooting guard that shows flashes. He is a good athlete that has upside on both ends of the floor, but needs to put it all together this season.
Level Projection: Low-Major/D2+
Justin Hardy (St. Charles East)
Hardy is a junk yard dog combo forward. He mixes in his toughness with skill on the perimeter. Great high academic D2 prospect.
Level Projection: D2+
Eddie Creal (Romeoville)
Creal continued to improve throughout the spring and summer. Strong and athletic wing that attacks the rim and finishes at the cup.
Level Projection: D2+
Anthony Lynch (Larkin)
Lynch elevated his game over the summer proving he can get to the rack against quality defenders and handles improved.
Level Projection: D2
RJ McGee (Kenwood)
McGee is a big time athlete at the two guard spot that put his name on the map last high school season. Also has potential as a shooter and defender.
Level Projection: D2
Justin Boyd (Whitney Young)
Rangy two guard that is best as a spot up shooter. Could grow into a solid perimeter defender as well
Level Projection: D2

Junk yard dog wing that flat out forces his will on the game. Big time rebounder for position and defends on the perimeter.
Level Projection: D2
Isaiah Saulsberry (Harrisburg)
One of the top scorers in Southern Illinois. He can shoot it with deep range out to beyond the college three point line and has a quick first step.
