Talented young post players are not a common entity in high school basketball. There is one walking the halls of Ecorse High School. Jeffery Pullen Jr. is a 6-6 power forward. As a sophomore, he is a high level talent who is learning the game and improving daily. He is a player that coaches and fans should get to know.
Question: What are the three biggest strengths of your game?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: My three biggest strengths are rebounding, blocking shots and put backs.
Question: What aspect of your game would you like to improve?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: I would like to to improve my handles because at the next level you need to know how to dribble.
Question: What is your best moment in high school basketball so far?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: Winning a District Championship as a freshman is my most exciting part of playing high school basketball.
Question: What high school team do you look forward to playing against?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: I just looked at the next game on the schedule. More focus on the game plan.
Question: Who is the best player you have played against?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: The best player I played was Jamal Cain.
Question: Which gym in Michigan was your favorite to play in and why?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: The best gym I played at was Bishop Foley because I was in regionals.
Question: Who is your favorite NBA player and why?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: My favorite basketball player is Kevin Durant because he is a slasher. He can dribble like Kyrie and shoot the ball like Steph. He is one of the most unbelievable unguardable players in the NBA. He is developing a Killer Instinct and and a fire in him that I see in me.
Question: Which form of social media do you prefer?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: I don’t really use social media like that. I just use Twitter. It is a great way to get recruited when my time comes.
Question: What are your long term goals, both on and off the court?
Jeffery Pullen Jr.: My long-term are just making it out and feeding my family. My long-term goals off the court is becoming a mechanical engineer. I loved cars since I was a little kid and I have a sweet spot for them.
