Top Returning Players CMAC: Part One
The Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference is exactly what you would expect from a conference in a large metro/urban area. Lots of fast paced action played in front of hyped crowds who cheer hard for their programs. Which also means that the talent that is within the CMAC is as good as any conference in the state. Don’t believe me? Just look at part one of our list of the Top Returning Players of the CMAC. Just as a side-note, players listed are returning to the program they played with the previous season for.
Demarco Bradley 5’7 PG- Taft High School (#60 Class of 2019)
Featured earlier this month on Prep Hoops, Bradley returns to help lead one of the more talented D-II teams in Cincinnati. The junior is exactly what you would expect from a guard that plays for the Senators, a quick, high IQ guard that can change the game on the defensive end as well.
Demontez “Kane” Cooper 5’4 PG- Woodward High School (#180 Class of 2018)
Cooper served notice that he is back and healthy after being named to the All-Tournament team at the Nike City Series in October. This is good news for a Woodward squad who really missed Kane play-making ability, leadership and his ability to knock down open shots last season. Having a coach on the floor like Kane will be a major boost for first year coach Jarelle Redden.
Brandon Doss 5’8 G- Shroder High School (Class of 2018)
Doss is leading returning scorer for the Jaguars after averaging just over 11ppg for the 2016-17 season. A team that was hit hard by transfers, Doss will need to up his production significantly if Shroder is to compete in this tough conference.
Terry Durham 6’3 W- Woodward High School (#88 Class of 2018)
One of the contenders for conference Player of the Year, this strong lefty is at his best around the paint where his physical and athletic gifts are too much for most defenders. He did show a lot of improvement in his perimeter game over the summer, in particular with his three-point shooting. But Durham looks to have options on the football as according to Triple Double Prospects Terry has interest at the D-I level for football. This includes an offer from Cincinnati.
Dashawn Lawrence 5’10 PG/G- Taft High School (Class of 2018)
Fresh off an outstanding football season, Lawrence is back as one of the top passers on the hardwood. The senior does an outstanding job of controlling the pace for the Senators and is a hound on defense. Another good thing about Dashawn is that he does not turn the ball over as well as he sported an almost 5 to 1 assist to turnover ratio.
