Triangle Fall League Recap: 2018 Standouts
Team Teen Center Forward Sal-bey Young C/O 2018- He may not have been a big name play before the day started but he did all the small things to help put his team in a situation to win. He cleaned up around the glass very well, pulling in offensive and defensive rebounds. He finished plays inside the paint and brought the energy that was desperately needed for his team, playing with a very high motor. He’s going into his senior year at Garner HS and could be a very solid piece for them, he brings: energy, rebounding and intensity, which is always needed
Juice All-Stars 2018 Guard Jaylen Finch: Jaylen had one of the top plays of the day , he hit a defender with a quick crossover that left his defender on the floor. He’s an impressive ballhandler that handles pressure well and doesn’t turn it over often.
Royal Knights 2018 Point Guard Makiyah Jones (Raleigh Hawks)-Was one of the best players in that we saw all day, he has a body that looks like he has played on the next level already. He does all the things that you want your PG to do, he communicates well with teammates and coaches, brings effort defensively and knows how to run a team. He shot the ball very well from deep, he has good form on his shot and was especially efficient when shooting off the catch. Although his team would lose in the Semi-finals at the buzzer, he did all he could to put the squad in a situation to win the game, nice overall prospect.
Royal Knights 2018 Guard Ghage Kenyan (Bunn High School) – Has smooth ball handling skills, and understands how to get to his spots. Was a difficult player for the defense to attempt to defend, can score the ball in multiple ways and has a knack for getting to the free throw line. Although he could have looked for his own offense on more occasion he instead was concerned with making winning plays and getting everybody involved.
