News and Notes week of October 16th
Hargrave Academy Wing D.J Myers made his decision to attend Longwood this week, D.J is a very good pickup for this team as he is a player that had high major interest but selected a program where he should go and be effective right away. He’s long, athletic and has a nice ability to score the ball, he can defend multiple positions and most importantly he is a high character young man.
Trinity Christian 2019 Guard Audiese Toney will be taking an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech this weekend and had a visit from Wyoming this week. Toney is in his first season at Trinity Christian and is one of 3 players on the team that has picked up high major interest, the lefty has a smooth game and is a versatile player. His stock is on the rise and if he continues to perform at a high level, he will only increase the amount of programs that are interested in him.
Village Christian 2018 Guard Junub Char hasn’t been in Fayetteville for a long time but college coaches have stopped in to see him at a very high rate. He is a legit 6’4 guard that can score in bunches, DePaul has been the school that has been on him the most as of late but he has high interest from Umass and Rutgers as well.
New Life Christian 2018 Guard/Forward Arshon King picked up interest from Flagler as well as Brunswick Community College. The 6’5 guard/forward out together some impressive scoring performances including a 38 Point game against a Post Grad team.
By now we all know that Providence Day Guard Devon Dotson has committed to Kansas, Dotson who is ranked #2 in the 2018 rankings has a very high upside and will be one to keep a close eye on this season as he is a legit Mr. Basketball candidate.
