This is always an interesting time of year, as there are a lot of things going on, but there really isn’t much organized basketball being played. While the college coaches are trying to make key decisions, players are back in their home gyms getting better. AMIR HARRIS REOPENS HIS RECRUITMENT
Saint James ’18 guard Amir Harris announced earlier this week that he would be reopening his recruitment. The senior guard, who was committed to Rhode Island, is now one of the best available seniors in the region.
BRENDAN ADAMS COMMITS TO URI
Calvert Hall ’18 guard Brendan Adams committed to Rhode Island this week. The 6-foot-3 guard is a talented scorer, and will be a welcomed addition to Danny Hurley’s impressive 2018 recruiting class.
JASON WADE OFF THE BOARD TO ODU
Trinity Episcopal ’18 guard Jason Wade verbally committed to Old Dominion this week. The versatile guard, who was in high demand among local division one programs, has decided to stay in-state.
PFAFFENBERGER PICKS SACRED HEART
Episcopal ’18 forward Zach Pfaffenberger verbally committed to Sacred Heart this week. The 6-foot-8 senior, who was also considering Binghamton and Mount St. Mary’s, was considered one of the top available bigs in Virginia.
CNU LANDS GRANT YATES
Battlefield ’18 forward Grant Yates committed to Christopher Newport this week. The senior is a marksman with size, and has a chance to fit right in at the next level for the Captains.
NATE WADDY SELECTS MARY WASHINGTON
Stonewall Jackson ’18 forward Nate Waddy committed to Mary Washington this week. The 6-foot-5 senior will bring size and solid interior defense to the Eagles’ program.
