The Basketball Interview with Bartholomew Ogbu
NDSU football commit Bartholomew Ogbu spoke with PHD today about his basketball memories heading into his senior year at Shiloh Christian.
At your school, what is your favorite part or parts about game days in terms of the routine leading up to the game?
BO: My favorite parts about game days are the pre game meals, we usually gather together as a team and we eat pasta , team meals are important and it helps us share and bond together.
What makes your crowd unique?
BO: Honestly, we have one of the most crazy fans in the state, they never give up on us, expect us to win every game and they go crazy whenever they is a block shot or a dunk!
Who is the toughest player you have faced?
BO: Toughest player I had to guard last year was Tronis McKay, he is very skillful and he played in a different paste compare to other guys.
Who is your biggest rival and what about them makes the rivalry both heated and memorable?
BO: Well, Shiloh’s biggest rival is Solen Sioux, it’s always a big game playing against Solen, they gym is always parked full and they fans are loud and crazy! I love those games because everyone has to bring it big time!
Who is your favorite basketball player in the world and why?
BO: Lebron James is my favorite basketball player, Lebron is a dominant force on the court, he play they game the right way, get his teammates involve and he is fun to watch.
All basketball players love gear. What brand of gear or type of gear are you partial to?
BO: I like Nike, all my basketball shoes since has been Nike.
What is your favorite venue to play basketball in that you’ve played in?
BO: My favorite basketball venue is the civic center in Bismarck, I like the length of the gym and the flooring looks great!
What court that you haven’t played on would you dream of playing on?
BO: Quicken Loans Arena
Explain the relationship varsity players have at your school with youth players?
BO: The younger players in my school, look up to the varsity players, So we try our best to set a good example and support them whenever we can! We usually have a mentoring program, where we spend our free periods with the elementary class.
Best coaching advice you’ve received is what and who was it from?
BO: Best coaching advice I have received was from my head coach, Brad Miller, “if you are good enough they will find you”. This was motivating for a guy from a small school.
Who is your basketball influence?
BO: Lebron James, I wanted to be like LeBron James!
