Recruiting Report: Tre Pierre (2018)
Six-foot-5 wing Tre Pierre of Widefield in Colorado Springs is a top 10-15 level player in the state and Prep Hoops caught up with Tre this weekend.
Pierre competed in some high level events this 17u year and the he gained a lot from the experience.
“This past 17u season I learned a lot, I got a lot of exposure,” Pierre said. “I played in front of a lot of college coaches which was a highlight. I picked up some interest from schools which also was a highlight. Overall it was a great experience.”
What programs is Pierre hearing from? The list is long.
“I am hearing from Adams State, Metro State, Colorado Christian, University of Sioux Falls, CSU Pueblo, Panhandle State, Minot State and Doane all for basketball,” Tre stated. “I’ve recently visited Adams State. I will visit Doane, CSU Pueblo, and Metro State soon.”
Tre averaged 18.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.3 blocks a game as a junior. What is on stage for his junior season?
“I believe we can do a lot this year,” Pierre said. “We returned everyone but two people. With the talent on team we can do big things this year. I’m not going to say how far we can go. But we have the potential to do big things.”
A lot will still rest on the shoulders of Pierre and he is preparing in his own way.
“My main focus is getting physically stronger. I want to put muscle people with my physicality. I want to be unstoppable coming through the lane.”
