Weekly Dish: Romeo’s First OV, Brooks Picks Up UK, and More
This time of the year is one that is always an interesting one. There are a lot of things going on but typically there isn’t much basketball being played. College coaches are back in their offices and trying to make key decisions and players are back in their home gyms getting better but things are still happening. Today, we are going to take a look at the latest happenings in the state.
– 2018 guard Walter Ellis of Brewster Academy (NH) has picked up an offer American and Lafayette. Since moving out East, Ellis has seen a little more East Coast interest.
– 2019 guard Hayden Smithey of Bishop Dwenger (IN) had Air Force come in to watch him in an open gym this Saturday.
– 2019 guard Alex Hemenway of Castle (IN) picked up an offer from Clemson this past weekend. That is his first Power 5 offer and 6th offer overall.
– 2019 wing Keion Brooks Jr. of Fort Wayne North (IN) picked up an offer from Kentucky this weekend. HC John Calipari was in this past week to watch him in open gym and he followed up with a campus visit this weekend where he was offered.
– 2018 wing Donald Lee of North Central (IN) took his first official visit this weekend as he went out East to visit Navy. He also has an offer from Florida Southern.
– 2019 forward Nate Soltis of Cardinal Ritter (IN) took a visit to NAIA powerhouse Saint Francis (IN) this past weekend. Soltis already drawing interest from local programs.
– 2018 guard Romeo Langford of New Albany (IN) took his first official visit with a trip to Vanderbilt.
– 2018 post Garrett Pumphrey of Cambridge City Lincoln (IN) took a visit to DIII Adrian College in Michigan.
– 2018 post Caleb Middlesworth of Oak Hill (IN) picked up an offer from DII Cedarville in Ohio. Middlesworth has multiple offers from varying levels right now.
– 2018 guard Brock Blackwell of Shelbyville (IN) took a visit to DIII Adrian College up in Michigan this past week.
– 2019 forward Trayce Jackson-Davis of Center Grove (IN) took a visit to Iowa this weekend. They are one of multiple HM offers he holds at the moment.
