Fayetteville Christian School Open Gym/Workouts
Fayetteville Christian School is a program that is on the rise, they are a program that struggled over the last few seasons but are now looking to rebuild. Under the direction of 1st Year Head Coach David Barco, the Warriors have a new mindset and a different energy this season. Barco has coached at FCS at the JV and middle school level as well as coaching at the Basketball Elite East NC Fab 40 Camp. We stopped by Fayetteville Christian School on Tuesday evening to check out some of the talent and these are a few of the players that stood out.
Junior Guard Charles Page: Charles will be looked to be more of a leader for the squad on and off the court, he can shoot the ball well from deep and is continuing to improve.
Junior Wing Daquan Chambers: Chambers is a player that is more of a slasher type of player, he can get to the cup, has some athletic ability and is a solid defender.
Junior Guard Alijah Miles: Alijah had one of the best showings at the open gym session, he knocked down shots from midrange and was outstanding on the defensive end of the floor, and he’s what we would call a pesky defender.
Sophomore Wing Jacob Webster: Jacob is a knock down shooter and a youngster who is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. At 6’3 with long arms and being highly coachable, he has a chance to develop into a nice player overall.
Senior Guard Tyler Davis: He’s new to the squad but will be called on almost immediately to be an impact player, he’s strong, has decent quickness all while bringing leadership.
Sophomore Forward Jaylen Gardner: Jayden is a young man that comes from a basketball family and showed some flashes of his ability on Tuesday night He rebounds the ball well and makes smart plays, he clearly know the game.
