He runs the floor very well & can hit the outside shot. In the paint Churchill has very good hands & a soft touch. He sets excellent screens and is very fundamentally sound. Last season Churchill came off the bench for the Seahawks as a freshmen, but he is a lock to start this season. He has potential to be named All Bayside this spring with his teammate Kevin Voyles. Elijah ran the show at PG for Maret HS who finished the season @ 26-5 & a top 20 DC/DMV ranking. He was the main player who fed 6’11” top 100 national recruit & Iowa commit Luka Garza. Elijah led the Frogs in assists, & finished 2nd in scoring & made 3s to help lead Maret’s MAC and DCSAA runner-up squad last year. He can control the tempo of the game, is an excellent ball handler & facilitator. Elijah is an excellent college prospect who is very, very under the radar. Mekhi Long, 6’7″, W, 2019. Massanutten Military. Woodstock VA.
Grassroots Team: Team St8ment
We scouted Mekhi last season when played for St. Mary Ryken HS who play in the powerful WCAC. He has since transferred to Massanutten Military. Last season & this summer he was very impressive & we believe he has potential to become a nationally ranked recruit. Mekhi could follow in the footsteps of Washington, DC native & MMA grad Jamarcko Pickett who finished last season ranked in the top 75 players nationally & committed to Georgetown. Mekhi plays with a high motor, can defend & play multiple positions. He runs the floor very well & is a very high level rebounder. Mekhi possesses a very high iq & advanced skill-set which allows him to score from all 3 levels. We will be covering Massanutten Military this coming season & we hope to have a MMA team overview article in the next few weeks. The video below is 1 year old & Mekhi improves each time we see him.
Josh Mack, 6’1″ PG/CG, 2018. St. Maria Goretti HS. Hagerstown, MD.
