Overall Prospect Rankings: #31 – #35
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2018 and 2019. What if you took those classes along with 2020 and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like!
Today we unveil prospects #31 – #35!
#31 PF Messiah Jones (Simeon – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: #36
Jones is a bouncy four man that excels at getting on the offensive glass for put backs. Extremely active undersized four man that is a junk yard dog around the hoop. He rebounds well on both ends, is a shot blocking presence, and can defend on the perimeter. Versatile and athletic prospect.
#32 F Raekwon Drake (Orr – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Drake is a powerful star in the Chicago Public League. He is a combo forward that has monstrous slams on a regular basis and is a beast rebounding the ball. His shot and skill development came a long way this summer.
#33 SG Myles Baker (Whitney Young – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: #37
Baker is a prospect that it is his time to breakout. Even with all the stars at Whitney Young look for Baker to make an impact for the Dolphins. He has all the physical tools to be a smooth wing scorer that can just get buckets at multiple levels!
#34 SF Martin Macenis (Staff – 2019)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
European throwback type player who is a skilled forward. He handles the ball and has deep range on his shot. Bit of a long release, but has consistent accuracy on it. Skilled player with size that should breakout on the high school scene this year.
#35 PF Kee Hargrow (Joliet Central – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Hargrow is a player that not many people at all know, but he has a chance to be the premier post in the 2020 class in Illinois. Athletic four man that is super active, runs the floor, rebounds, and is efficient scoring around the hoop. All upside here!
