Overall Prospect Rankings: #46 – #50
In September we released our rankings for the classes of 2018 and 2019. What if you took those classes along with 2020 and did an overall ranking regardless of class? This is what they would look like!
Today we unveil prospects #46 – #50!
#46 PG Tyronn Mosley (Orr – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Mosley saw his stock rise once he made the change over to playing with the Illinois Wolves on the circuit. He showed he is a point guard after making the transition from a wing during the season. Long and lanky almost point-forward that brings a lot of value on the defensive end to be a lock down defender if he wants to lock in.
#47 PG Kaleb Thornton (Bolingbrook – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Thornton is a quality point guard that shares the spotlight on both his high school and travel team with quite a few other quality point guards. With his speed in the open floor and ability to get to the rack he is an intriguing player at the next level. Also gets after it on the defensive end.
#48 SG Cardell McGee (Springfield Lanphier – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: #21
McGee had a great summer last year, followed by a rocky high school and spring, then a nice close to the circuit in July. It really depends on which McGee you are getting to what kind of prospect he will be long term. The positive is he has the ability to defend both backcourt spots and handles the ball well for his size. Scoring game flashes.
#49 SG Darius Beane (Carbondale – 2018)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Beane is a rangy two guard from Carbondale that will stay home and play his college ball at SIU. He is a plus pull up jump shooter from mid-range. Gets after it on the defensive end with his length and lateral movement. Passes it great for an off guard that can play on the ball when needed.
#50 PF Dominic Franklin (Bogan – 2020)
Last Year’s Rank: NR
Franklin moved up to Chicago from Atlanta last spring so he is not known to casual basketball fans, but look for him to put his name on the map this year at Bogan. The top 10 2020 prospect is a long and rangy four man that is bouncy around the hoop and runs the floor great. Lot of upside here.
