Prospect Spotlight: Elliot Hohman (2020)
Class of 2020 5’10 point guard Elliott Hohman of Skyline High School Spartans looks to make a big impact this season after a successful summer AAU campaign.
The combo guard is becoming a more and more common position in todays game. To be able to play both on the ball and off the ball generally, combo guards are plus sized point guards or undersized 2 guards who have worked on their games to allow them to be equally comfortable playing in either position.
Elliott is a quick guard, who does a solid job creating off the dribble. He has a good basketball IQ, allowing him to facilitate more and get his teammates going offensively. Elliott is also a good defender, picking up opposing guards full court and causing havoc. He is playing some solid basketball for Global Basketball.
He spoke about his summer and what his plans are for this upcoming season.
“AAU was good, did not go exactly how I planned but I picked it up in Vegas and improved my play and I played for global basketball club. I have been working on attacking, my shooting consistency and my form, and just running my team in general.”
“I am looking forward to showing scouts what I can do, and feel very hopeful getting an offer, I would like to become a big scorer and a well-rounded player. Recruiting so far has not been busy for me; just a few college camp invites to show what I can do.”
