Recruiting Report: Little Anderson (2019)
Little Anderson (2019) has had his name thrown out by scouts and coaches much more frequently over the last few months. Anderson’s recognition is likely a result of playing in front of more eyeballs with winning programs, in Cardinal Stritch and All Ohio Gold 16U.
Anderson has been a key component to his teams’ success over the past 12 months, as he’s grown as an individual also.
“I played better and more comfortable and with confidence … [I’ve improved with] shooting, ball-handling, and defending a lot,” Anderson said.
Anderson is a 6’3” wing with a ton of upside as a defender. He’s a long, high-energy player that can cause problems on the wing. Also, Anderson slashes and gets buckets in transition.
Going forward, Anderson wants to become a better shooter off the dribble.
“I can catch-and-shoot really good but shooting off the dribble [is an area I’d like to improve]. Like, one-dribble pull-ups. And I’m always looking to improve my ball-handling,” Anderson said.

With Anderson just now entering his junior year of high school, he’s taking a “one day at a time” approach to the recruiting process. Currently, his talks with college programs have come exclusively from time spent at elite camps.
“When I went to some camps, I got pretty good feedback. A couple colleges told me they’d come watch me during the season,” Anderson said.
“This summer, I went to Kent State. I went to Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne. I went to Ohio Dominican. I went to Lake Erie,” Anderson told us.
Anderson said that Kent State and Ohio Dominican gave him the best feedback after the camps.
As mentioned, it’s early in Anderson’s recruiting process. In the meantime, he’s hoping the team at Cardinal Stritch can come together as a family and that he can become even more impactful on both sides of the floor.
Also, Anderson currently carries a 3.3 GPA and it yet to take the ACT.
