Area All-Star Teams: Central Illinois
What area of the state has the best talent? We designed our “All-Area All-Star Teams” for five regions throughout the state of Illinois. Here is our Central Illinois All-Star Team.
PG: Kendle Moore (Danville)
Moore is a slick handling lead guard that pushes the tempo and gets others involved, but is best scoring from the lead guard spot. That is what he will be looked to do on this team.
SG: Cardell McGee (Springfield Lanphier)
McGee came on strong to close out July. His versatility in the backcourt and being able to score and defend make him intriguing.
SF: Tim Finke (Champaign Central)
Finke will be the sniper on this unit. He moves great without the ball to get open and that is how he will be utilized.
PF: Chris Payton (Bloomington)
Payton is an early commit to Illinois State that brings this central Illinois squad athleticism on the front line rebounding, swatting shots, and finishing.
C: Francis Okoro (Normal West)
Okoro is the state’s top 2019 prospect. He will man the paint dominating on the glass and finishing with monster dunks.
Bench
Guard: Armon Brummett (Decatur MacArthur)
Brummett will be an instant offense guy off the bench. Shot selection needs to be reeled in, but he can put it in the hoop.
Guard: Colton Sandage (Bloomington)
Sandage is a plus perimeter shooter that will be the catch and shoot specialist off the bench for this squad.
Guard: Bailey Dee (Champaign Central)
Dee brings stability at the point guard spot being able to lead the team, score, pass, and get after it on D.
Wing: Isaiah Rivera (Geneseo)
Rivera is the youngest player on this unit, but the top 10 2020 will find rotation minutes with his skilled game.
Wing: Anthony Fairlee (Springfield Southeast)
Fairlee is a freak athlete that hasn’t seen the best in his game yet!
Post: CJ Wilbourn (Normal Community)
Wilbourn will play minutes on this group behind the two star posts coming in to do the dirty work.
