Upperclassmen Early Top 250 Commits
The Top 250 Expo is filling up with plenty of talent. Here are some of the top upperclassmen who have committed to attend the event with a little less than two weeks left to register. This will be a top tier event with plenty of exposure against high level competition.
Top 250
Tyrese Eugene 6’0 PG 2018 Ironwood
Eugene is most likely going to be a three year starter at Ironwood High School. He is an attack first guard who can get to the rim at will. Further, he is a capable shooter who has improved his stroke. Eugene will look to keep his stock rising while participating at the Top 250 Expo.
Ajang Aguek 6’7 SF/PF 2018 Ironwood
Aguek was one of the biggest stock risers this past live period while participating with PowerHouse Hoops Red. His length and motor made him an all-around contributor. In addition, he has great footwork on the block and a soft touch around the perimeter. He has received interest from a couple of NCAA Division I.
Kade Maddock 6’8 2019 Compass Prep
Maddock participated at the last Top 250 Expo and had a great event. He was relatively raw due to being new to the game. However, he has put a lot of work in and has improved his craft. Maddock will be a diamond in the rough for some college suitor. He will have a solid year this upcoming season.
Andrew Augustine 6’1 SG 2018 Northwest Christian
Augustine is one of the top shooters in the entire state. He does a great job of coming off of down screens and side screens. He used them well, gets his feet set, and shoots it at a high level. His ability to score without having to be a ball dominant guard makes him quite appealing.
Derek Williams 5’11 PG 2018 Tucson
Williams has reportedly received interest from multiple NCAA Division I schools. He is a knock down shooter who has put on even more muscle mass. His ability to shoot it from deep and from the mid-range added with his strength has made him more dangerous. He is getting in the paint easier and easier. Look for Williams to have a huge season at Tucson.
Jabari Sutherland 6’3 SF 2018 Mountain Ridge
Sutherland is a freak athlete with a lot of upside. He is a match-up nightmare at the high school level as he is strong and finishes well around the rim. He has a confident handle and is quick off of the dribble. Defensively, he is able to guard 1-4 due to his strength, quickness, and intelligence.
Emad Elniel 6’5 SG 2019 Independence
Elniel will be one of the top scorers at the event and one of the most unheard of prospects to do so. He is a knock down shooter with good length and ability to create around the rim. He is not a ball dominant guard and still finds ways to score and be effective. Elniel will turn a lot of heads at the event.
Joe Heath 6’3 SG 2018 Mohave
Heath, much like Elniel, has managed to go under the radar despite being one of the best scoring wings in the state. He plays with a lot of intensity and focus. Further, although he is capable of creating for himself, he does the dirty work and creates plenty of scoring opportunities for himself due to his activity on the glass.
Jalen Grijalva 6’1 PG 2019 Valley Christian
Grijalva is going to get more and more attention this upcoming season. His ability to create off of the dribble enables him to create opportunities for himself and for teammates. Moreover, he is a capable shooter who must be respected on the perimeter. This enables him to get by the first level of defense and do his damage.
Keaton Rodgers 6’5 SF/PF 2018 Sandra Day
Rodgers is a fundamentally sound big man who can play some 3/4. He is a little undersized to play the four at the next level. However, his smarts and feel for the game make him a solid Forward at the high school level. He has a soft touch around the rim and can play on the wing and in the perimeter.
