Must-See Baltimore Seniors in 2017-18: Part 2
We continue our “must-see” series taking a look at the rising senior class. There is plenty of tremendous talent around the Baltimore area, but this series is meant to bring the attention to the most exciting prospects to watch. For part one, click here.
Brendan Adams | Calvert Hall | 2018
Adams is without a doubt one of the most dynamic scorers in Baltimore. He can feel it up from all three levels and does so in an effortless manner. The 6’4 guard will lead the Cardinals of Calvert Hall in the MIAA A Conference. After losing a few key returners in Josh Cornish (Dulaney) and Justin Lewis (Poly), the bulk of the offensive production will fall on Adams’ shoulders. He has the ability to carry the load. Adams has already taken official visits to George Mason and Georgia, with Rhode Island, Wyoming and Georgia Tech still remaining.

Laquill Hardnett | Perry Hall | 2018
Hardnett is the prototypical versatile big man of today’s game. At 6’9, he can play the role of a big man or guard. For the Gators, he will be expected to fill the ‘point forward’ position as he did last season that lead Perry Hall to their first state title in school history. The one weak spot of Hardnett’s game has been his ability to consistently knock down three’s, but with long hours put in the gym and his time with Team Melo’s 17U EYBL squad, Hardnett improved in that sense. He’ll once again be one of the most difficult match ups in the state for opposing coaches to game plan for. Hardnett has offers from a number of schools. East Carolina, Towson, Radford and LaSalle are some of the schools who have offered.
Andre Rafus | Mt. Zion Prep | 2018
Rafus is a new member of the 2018 class after decided to go the prep route in order to improve his body. Rafus had committed to TCU back in March, but ultimately decided to reopen his recruitment and polish his overall game before heading to college. The 6’9 wing is a threat every time the ball is in his hands. The explosive scorer averaged 22 points for a young Lake Clifton team last season, and will be a big piece for the Warriors in 2017-18. Rafus recently told PrepHoops Georgetown, Oregon, Oregon State, Penn State and Gonzaga have all kept in touch and remaining landing places for Rafus after next season.
Anthony Higgs | Perry Hall | 2018
Perry Hall’s other twin tower, Anthony Higgs, has been one of the biggest stock risers over the past couple of summers. The 6’9 forward supplies the city with poster dunks almost every game to go with an elite shot blocking ability defensively. Higgs has transformed since he was a sophomore by developing an efficient three-point stroke, which similar to Hardnett, makes him a nightmare for opponents to guard. Higgs and Hardnett will look to end their high school careers with a bang by repeating as Class 4A champions. Higgs recently took an official visit to Ole Miss, who offered, and still has Colorado, Xavier, Tulsa and Massachusetts on his agenda for official visits.

Tyler Foster | Mt. Zion Prep | 2018
Foster will pair with Rafus at Mt. Zion Prep as another deadly scorer. Foster, the former Georgetown commit, will look to get his name back in national headlines like it was a few years back. Foster is a very smooth offensive player with great athleticism. The 6’4 combo guard knows at the next level, he’ll be expected to play minutes at point guard, so he plans on honing in on his ball handling skills this season for the Warriors.
