Weekly Dish: Langford Top Schools, Official Visits, and More
This time of the year is one that is always an interesting one. There are a lot of things going on but typically there isn’t much basketball being played. College coaches are back in their offices and trying to make key decisions and players are back in their home gyms getting better but things are still happening. With each week this fall, we are going to take a look at the latest happenings in the state.
– New Albany (IN) standout Romeo Langford announced this week his Final 7 schools that he will be deciding from. In his list of 7, it includes Vanderbilt, North Carolina, Kansas, Indiana, Kentucky, UCLA, and Louisville.
-Terre Haute South (IN) guard DeAvion Washington has two key official visits coming up with him heading to Indiana State on the weekend of September 8th and Valparaiso on the weekend of September 15th. These are considered the two front-runners for Washington.
-Lawrence North (IN) wing Kevin Easley is taking his official visit to Georgia State this week. This is his second official visit after going to VCU last year. Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter has done well recruiting the state of Indiana.
-Brebeuf Jesuit (IN) guard Myja White has three official visits setup to three of his top schools. He will head to Ball State on September 15th, Morehead State on September 21st, and Navy on September 28th.
-Lawrence North (IN) guard Michael Saunders Jr. in the class of 2020 has picked up his fifth offer from Miami (OH). They join Stephen F. Austin, VCU, DePaul, and Northern Kentucky.
-Carmel (IN) post John–Michael Mulloy has picked up another offer, this one from Butler. The 2019 standout now has Eastern Illinois, Tulsa, Toledo, and Miami (OH) offers. He also took an unofficial visit to Syracuse before attending their Elite Camp this past weekend.
-Fort Wayne South (IN) forward Asher Blum picked up an offer from IU-South Bend. The 6’8 2018 prospect now has picked up a few offers with IU-South Bend joining Indiana Tech and Northwest Ohio.
