Class of 2018 Post Stock Risers
Who are the power forward and center prospects that made the biggest moves up in the latest rankings. We dive into that right here!
PF Kyle King (St. Charles North)
Previous Ranking: #60
Current Ranking: #42
Huge fan of this 2018 power forward who plays with Tri City Thunder on the grassroots circuit. He is uber skilled and crafty around the hoop using excellent footwork playing with his back to the basket. Scores against bigger opponents by using his skill level and smarts. Excellent footwork, sound passer, and can hit the mid-range shot. Competes on the glass. Great D2 prospect!
C Gabe Bergeron (Dundee Crown)
Previous Ranking: #205
Current Ranking: #43
Bergeron emerged with his game for Fundamental U and at the high academic showcase. The broad shouldered 6’8” post is a plus athlete that runs the floor with fluidity. Flashes skill around the hoop with a soft touch. Like his developmental potential going forward at the next level as an upside D2 prospect.
PF Jack Sorenson (Wheaton North)
Previous Ranking: #91
Current Ranking: #68
Sorenson is a skilled back to the basket post that showed he could do work on the block in July with Mercury Elite. Efficient with his touches. Soft touch around the hoop. Pick and pop ability and has solid mobility for a four man. Quality D3/NAIA prospect.
PF Jacob Hall (Alton Marquette)
Previous Ranking: #177
Current Ranking: #70
Hall has good size at 6’7” and mobility. Excellent area rebounder that snatches boards with his strong hands. Versatile offensive threat. Hall has expanded his game to where he is now a legit threat in the pick and pop game shooting it. Good screener that can both pop and roll to the hoop. Good hands catching passes in traffic and finishes with a soft touch around the rim. Seals in the high/low game. Solid passer out of the post.
