Prospect Spotlight: Ryan Radke (2018)
2018 Jesuit guard Ryan Radke made the move up to varsity last season.
The 5’8″, 140-pound sharpshooter says he learned a lot as a junior. Going up against Stevie Darst, Thierry Moliere and Tyson Dunn was something Radke really enjoyed.
“They are really good players who don’t get much recognition like they deserve but they taught me a lot of things about basketball,” Radke told Prep Hoops Florida. “I basically just learned from experience and the thing that grew the most was probably my ability to you see the court and shooting 3’s.”
My role at Jesuit next season is to either play the one or the two, either scoring or finding other players and growing as a team.”
Radke says he’s been focusing on dribbling, full court pressure, shooting, finishing and overall experience this summer. In
“I feel like I’ve done a lot this summer probably the more progress than I’ve ever had before,” he said. “I’m excited for the season to be playing with my past team with Nick Weir, Thierry, and CJ Holt.”
He started playing basketball at age 12. Radke pointed to his 3’s and passing as his biggest strengths. He’s aiming to improve his dribbling under pressure and overall IQ.
No offers or interest have come for the rising senior.
Jesuit is going to be a contender in Class 6A and Radke is a maturing guard that will play a key role next to Moliere and Weir. The Tigers are in good hands once again.
