Michael Hurt of D1 Minnesota. Averaged 11.8 points and 5.3 rebounds a game in 27 minutes of action in Adidas play. The Gopher commit also made a lot of late game plays to lead his team to wins.
Steffon Mitchell of MN Fury. His clutch play in July led Fury on a memorable run to the elite eight in the EYBL dominated final group of the Vegas Classic. His play in July helped him to 19 D1 offers so far.
Reed Nikko of Net Gain. Reed cemented his spot with his play in Charlotte, Milwaukee, Atlanta, and Las Vegas. Reed improved his offensive production and was a key part of the vaunted NGS defense.
Gary Trent Jr of Howard Pulley. Led the EYBL in scoring and his play has pushed him to the top of the 2017 shooting guard charts from various services. Averaged 22 points per game.
McKinley Wright of Net Gain. Led Net Gain in scoring between 12-13 a game, handled the point guard duties, and was a defensive pressuring machine. Did it all in the backcourt.
2ND TEAM ALL STATE
Ishmael El-Amin of Net Gain. Was outstanding next to Wright in the backcourt averaging 11-12 a game making for an outstanding combo.
Tyler Johnson of D1 Minnesota. In Adidas play this year Tyler put up over ten points a game with a couple assists and boards a night. Was the backcourt player that teams couldn’t keep in front.
Amar Miller of Howard Pulley. Amar was the second leading scorer for the Panthers, led the team in assists, and was the starting point guard for his team.
Brady Rudrud of Heat Vang. This was the season many expected from Brady after he was the state MVP after tearing his ACL two years ago. The culmination of his comeback.
Austin Slater of MN Fury. People have been talking about how well Austin is playing but maybe not quite enough. His play on both ends has really pushed to a new level.
3RD TEAM ALL STATE
Carter Brooks of Select Ohnstad. Top scorer for a Select team that won 33 of 45 games
Brad Davison of Howard Pulley. Third leading Pulley scorer and an improved defender.
Luke Harris of D1 Minnesota. Scored almost nine points and five boards a game in Adidas play.
Sam Sustacek of Select Ohnstad. The energy guy, top rebounder, second leading scorer.
Lucas Walford of Heat NW. Lucas scored inside and out in a breakout four month period.
4TH TEAM ALL STATE
Sam Baker of Select Altenhofen. Leading scorer for the Select squad that played above expectations.
Seth Coatta of Real Athletics. Likely the second leading MN Grassroots scorer overall behind Trent.
Cole Dahl of MN Comets. Top scorer and second leading rebounder for the Comets over 4 months.
Nick Dufault of Select Altenhofen. Nick’s play in July put him here as he scored and was tough.
Brady Kuchinka of WOTN. Lead guard from an all around great team unit, loved Brady’s attack.
Samm Jones of Heat Vang. The energy and character of the team handling and scoring.
