Prospect Spotlight: 2018 Bryson Celestine (Video)
St. Augustine PG Bryson Celestine may very well be the city’s best passer with his elite ability to find teammates for easy looks. He sees plays before they develop and has pinpoint accuracy on his deliveries more times than not.
While his strongest asset is without question his ability to make others better, Celestine also isn’t shy about going to get a bucket when defenses let their guard down. He’s a solid midrange shooter and is able to finish with either hand or draw fouls in the paint with his quickness.
Celestine is also an aggressive defender at the point of attack and competes hard on both ends of the floor. His size is obviously the biggest impediment to his game at 5-foot-9 but it hasn’t stopped Celestine from having a big impact on the court.
He spent the earlier part of the spring with New Orleans Elite and Bo McCalebb Select before a summer league foot injury cut the rest of his summer short in June. He’ll play a key role for St. Aug this upcoming season alongside 2018 G Sai Fisher.
Here’s a look at Celestine in summer league action with the Purple Knights.
