Powerade Circuit: Standout 2017 & 2018 Standouts
SYF Players 2018 Guard Michael Roberson: This young man can flat out shoot it, it doesn’t matter if there is a hand up or not! He doesn’t use unnecessary dribbling to get his shot of. He moves very well without the ball and has not elevation on his shot to be able to shoot over taller defenders.
New Orleans Basketball Club 2018 F Jalen Perkins: At 6’6 with a nice frame he was a beast inside the paint and has a nice ability to score the ball. He was double/double machine throughout the event and plays the game with confidence, very nice looking prospect overall with nice potential.
New Orleans Basketball Club 2017 Guard Jacoby Carter: Brings it on both ends of the floor, can shoot the ball very well, one of the key players for the squads success throughout the event. Colleges looking for a late signee should stop in and check out this youngster.
New Orleans Basketball Club 2018 Guard Donald Johnson II: Had one of the highest motors of all the players we saw at the event, he brought effort and energy which was contagious for the rest of the team. His skillset is not bad at all and he has decent size for a college wing prospect at 6’4.
SYF Players 2017 Guard Tyreion Jackson: For a program that may be looking for a floor general, he’s a player that schools will want to check out. He’s not a high turnover guy and constantly applies defensive pressure to the opposition, has a frame that is already lean but will be able to add muscle once he gets to college. Reminds me a lot of former Fayetteville State All-Conf Guard Josh Dawson who had a tremendous career in the CIAA.
SYF Player 2017 Center Jibril Harris: One of the best passing big men at the event, he still seems to be raw offensively but has a nice IQ for the game. He had various plays from the post where he found teammates cutting to the basket for easy buckets.
