East vs West All-Star Game Preview: West All-Stars
Recently we took a look at the youngster that will be representing the Eastern side of the state in the North Carolina East vs West All-Star Game. They are a very talented group of youngsters and should be fun to watch, now let’s take a look at the youngsters from the Western side of the state as they have quite a few talented players of their own!
Mason Hawks (North Surry): A knock down shooter from that has impressive athleticism and basketball IQ, can play the PG spot as well the SG Spot. Headed to Lenoir Rhyne next season.
Quay Kimble (Shelby): Lighting quick and very effective scorer who is said to be the best scorer to come out of his school in a while. That combination of speed and scoring should make for an interesting stat line during this game.
Kameron Langley (Southwest Guilford): The NC A&T commit has a very nice game and flat out knows how to win games.
Austin Nelson (North Henderson): The 6’6 scoring machine has been on an absolute tear not only on the court but also in the recruiting world this season. He’s a difficult player to guard due to his skillset and height.
Carter Phillips (North Surry): The Catawba College commit had an impressive season averaging over 20 Points and 7 rebounds per game.
Cameron Robinson (Mt. Tabor): A very versatile player, at 6’5 he can do quite a few things including scoring the ball and getting others involved.
Ryan Schwieger (Weddington): The 6’6 Princeton commit is one of the most fundamentally sound players in his class and is a versatile player.
Jalen Spicer (Northwest Guilford): Jalen is a player that the fans will love, he can not only score and pass the ball but also has a nice amount of flair to his game. The hometown kid who has signed with North Carolina A&T will no doubt get the fans out of their seats.
Bryant Thomas (South Mecklenburg): Although he is considered a ‘‘ late bloomer’’ he has developed into a 6’8 shot blocking machine averaging 18 Points, 10 Blocks and 7 Rebounds per game.
Zaire Williams (Winston Salem Prep): A recent Fayetteville State signee Zaire is a player that should do very well in the CIAA. He’s a big that’s skilled, has a soft touch and can shoot the ball from midrange.
