Recruiting: Following First Live Period
This past week was the first live period of the spring and plenty has been going on. As we head into live period #2, we take a look at what has happened so far. Here are the storylines.
2017 Class Is Finishing Up
The class of 2017 is still finishing up in terms of commitments and we had a few this past week including a few big names. The biggest of which was Lebanon’s Trevor Lakes.
Lakes, a 6’7 small forward, was committed to Maryville (MO) at one point before a coaching change. Last night, he made a commitment to the University of Indianapolis.
Crispus Attucks guard Teyon Scanlan also came off the board this week. The 3A State Champion is off to Ancilla Community College. Tra Landers of Cathedral is also heading the JUCO route as he will head to Lake Land College.
Bizeau Picks Up Two
Gavin Bizeau, the 6’10 power forward, has really started to emerge the last few months and now on the EYBL circuit, he’s making enough noise to draw in more suitors.
This past week, he picked up Duqesne and Boston offers to go along with Toldeo, Indiana State, Ball State, and Akron. He has plenty of other big name schools checking in on him including Purdue, Stanford, and Pittsburgh.
