VHSL Senior All State Teams
At Vantage, we try to do some things differently so our readers can see things from different perspectives. With the high school season over and AAU right around the corner, we thought it would be a good time to release our All State teams. While there are VHSL and VISAA All State teams already released, we decided to do things differently by splitting up our All State teams by class instead of classification.
Below is our choices at Vantage Hoops for the VHSL Senior All State team. It includes names from every classification 1-6A, and were chosen through research and debate by the Vantage team. We have divided them up into First through Third Team, with 10 players in each, and an honorable mention list for the kids who were considered and deserve recognition for their terrific season as well.
Enjoy, and let the debate begin!
First Team
MVP: Johquin “Pinky” Wiley | LC Bird
Wiley earned MVP honors by leading the Skyhawks to the 5A State Championship, the first in school history, and it was the toughest classification in the VHSL. He had a stacked group that includes two other first team players, but his ability to lead and make everyone on his team better made him the most vital part of the LC Bird attack.
