The top performers from the 6A state semifinals
Leesburg and Mariner moved forward in the 6A state semifinals.
The Yellow Jackets snuck past Ribault 70-64 in the first game of the day while Mariner bullied Palatka 64-28.
Here are the top performers from 6A state semifinals:
Ryan Wallace (Ribault)
Wallace did all he could for Ribault with a 26-point and 10 rebounds in just under 29 minutes on the floor. The 5’11” senior guard kept his team around all game.
Keon Ellis (Leesburg)
The lengthy 6’5″ junior forward put on a show with 26 points, 11 rebounds and five steals as Leesburg inched out a win.
Amari Haynes (Mariner)
Haynes nearly had a perfect day from the field, shooting 9-of-11 to finish with 21 points, nine rebounds and two blocks. The 6’8″ senior is really good.
Brandon Kostyk (Mariner)
One of two twin brothers on the team, Brandon provided 15 points for the Tritons while his younger brother Sean had three. Brandon stretched the floor with 3-of-6 from downtown.
Lance Erving (Leesburg)
Erving posted 20 points, four steals and three rebounds in over 31 minutes in the game. The 6’0″ sophomore is an important piece for the Yellow Jackets.
Louis Dorsey (Ribault)
The 6’6″ forward scored 14 points for the Jacksonville Ribault squad. Dorsey hit 6-of-11 shots from the field and also grabbed nine rebounds.
Cordrayius Graham (Leesburg)
Graham was one of three double digit scorers for Leesburg today. Behind Ellis and Erving, the 6’0″ junior recorded 17 points, seven rebounds and five steals.
