SLUH at Vashon, 7 p.m. –– A big late season nonconference game featuring Vashon, the No. 1 team in Class 4 hosting two-time Class Final Four participant SLUH. The Wolverines are gearing up for the postseason with a couple of big nonconference games. They have been getting great play as of late from 6’8″ 2017 forward Joseph Reece. SLUH has been getting similar strong play from 6’4″ 2017 guard Anthony Hughes. (Prediction: Vashon).
Cape Girardeau Central at Sikeston, 7 p.m. – The championship of the SEMO Conference is on the line tonight as both teams enter tonight with 5-0 league records. Host Sikeston is an explosive offensive unit that can put up a lot of points in a hurry with 2018 standout Fred Thatch, Jr. leading the way. Cape Central is athletic and very good defensively in the half court. Guard Kway’ Twon Chisom and forward Austin Parker lead the Tigers. (Prediction: Sikeston).
Mercer vs. Winston, 8 p.m. – Tonight’s game will settle the championship of the HDC Championship Tournament. Undefeated Winston is the No. 1 ranked team in Class 1. The Cardinals play a fast-paced game led by 2017 guard Craig Lewis. Mercer is ranked No. 10 in Class 1. They are led by 6’2″ 2017 Cashman Hartley. (Prediction: Winston).
St. Joe Central vs. Raytown, 7 p.m. – St. Joe Benton is having an outstanding season with an opportunity to get its 20th victory tonight. To do that, they will have to get by a talented and balanced Raytown team that is playing well and playing at home. Can the backcourt excellence of St. Joe Central out-duel the frontcourt power of Raytown. (Prediction: Raytown).
CBC at Miller Career Academy, 6 p.m. – A very entertaining nonconference matchup that joins the Vashon-SLUH game as part of the unoffical Metro Catholic-Public High League challenge. CBC is coming off an enormous victory over MCC rival Chaminade last week. The Cadets are led by 6’5″ 2018 forward Kale Catchings. Career Academy features one of area’s top seniors in 6’7″ forward Javonte Perkins. (Prediction: CBC)
Park Hill at Blue Springs, 7 p.m. – Another exciting matchup between two of the top teams in the Kansas City area. In their first meeting, Park Hill squeaked out a 58-56 victory on Jan. 10. Both teams have excellent perimeter duos. Park Hill has 6’2″ 2017 Dru Smith andd 6’1″ 2018 Ronnie Bell while Blue Springs has a dynamic pair of guards in 2017 Tyree King and 2018 R.J. Lawrence. (Prediction: Blue Springs)
Hamilton at Mid-Buchanan, 7 p.m. – An excellent matchup between two of the top teams in Northwest Missouri. Hamilton has one of the top players in NW Missouri in 2018 guard Latroy Harper, who has been scoring some big numbers. (Prediction: Hamilton)
