Thompson is grinding teams out led by sophomore leading scorer Cadyn Schwabe, senior brother Calen Schwabe, junior Tyler Hegg, and then the 6-foot-4 Praska on the wing. All four of these players are providing solid scoring each night.
“The season is going really well so far,” Praska said. “We are currently 13-2 and #1 in the region.”
The Tommies crushed Griggs County Central last night by 38 and coming up Saturday they have a huge game against top ranked Four Winds/Minnewaukan.
Praska is excited about the advancements he’s made in his game over the year.
“From last year to this year I am a lot better at slashing and making plays off the dribble,” Devan said. “More than just a catch and shoot guy. I am also seeing the floor a lot better and making the right passes.”
Schools see the potential in Praska for the next level.
“Right now Mayville State, Jamestown, and Dakota State are texting me regularly,” Praska explained. “I have had a couple other schools from the area contact me and say they’ll keep in touch with me.
“Even one school in California recently contacted me which was pretty cool. I have not decided which school I will be attending next year.”
