The Mustangs were flying high after beating Madison 55-44 but then a losing streak hit.
“The season started out good then we hit a bit of a rough patch, but now we’re back on the right track with a few game winning streak,” Will said.
Since a five game losing streak Tri-Valley has reeled off four wins in a row including victories over Dakota Valley and Winner. Will has always been a physical finisher and now he’s more comfortable facing the basket as well.
“My game has grown a lot from last year in the way that I have improved my jumper, so I can stretch the floor and hit open jumpers,” Will said.
Next year in college Steineke wants to begin work towards his medical degree but also wants to play college basketball. Two programs are calling him most often right now.
“Right now Dakota Wesleyan and Jamestown are showing interest,” Will said. “Next year I plan on playing basketball and study something in the medical field.”
